Overview

The Total Rewards Specialist II supports daily total reward operation functions. Responsible for the administration of the Credit Union’s Health & Welfare Benefit Programs, Retirement Plans (401k & Pension) and Compensation Programs. Responsible in developing and executing key people team and employee experience initiatives. Assist with administering HR communication strategies and developing content to educate, inform, and strengthen employee value propositions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the health & welfare benefit programs, retirement plans are maintained, administered and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.       
  • Ensures that the necessary information is provided to all benefit providers and auditors to assist in the annual non-discrimination testing and 5500 preparation.              
  • Conducts research and analysis of industry trends, employee surveys and workplace best practices in order to design benefits packages that are competitive, meet employee needs, and support organizational goals.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all aspects of annual benefits enrollment process.           
  • Provides benefit information to new hires through New Employee Orientation.               
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of benefits bills, solves discrepancies on bills, submits bills for payment.         
  • Provide specialized advice and support to management and employees on HR procedures, programs, policies, and practices.          
  • Researches and evaluates third-party benefits vendors and participate in selection and implementation of providers.  
  • Responsible for the documentation preparation, approval and processing of promotions and off-cycle adjustments.
  • Assists with developing and conducting employee communication and education programs.            
  • Assists with maintenance of job description platform/database.              
  • Assists with administering HR communication strategies designed to disseminate corporate information or messaging to employees of the organization.       
  • Conducts employee surveys and focus groups.    
  • Performs all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • Description: Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2
  • Preferred Years of Experience: 4      
  • Comments: 2-4 years of combined experience in benefits and compensation.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • PHR or SHRM-CP, preferred and/or solid practical application of human resources body of knowledge.               
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.               
  • Self-motivated, meticulous organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.     
  • Project-oriented and have a thorough understanding of how to communicate effectively through transmedia.   
  • Proficient with MS Office and Adobe products.     
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay Range

USD $68,676.00 - USD $103,014.00 /Yr.
