Overview

The Information Security Architect develops and maintains the LFCU enterprise information security architecture. Enforce information security technology standards, roadmaps, and governance. Collaborates within IT and the business to optimize the Information Security Program and security services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides architecture review, oversight and approval on technical designs, applications and infrastructure on key initiatives.
  • Performs information security architecture and design using formal risk management methodologies.           
  • Provides security recommendations for operating systems (e.g. Windows, MacOS, Linux and Unix) used in physical, virtualized, network appliance, on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments; takes overall ownership of hardening standards and implementation for operating system installations.         
  • Creates and updates security requirements, architecture, operations and maintenance procedures.    
  • Contributes to the development of information security standards; conducts system security risk assessments; reviews vendors, platforms, systems, applications and identifies integration issues.       
  • Designs and implements internal security architecture, including but not limited to public-key infrastructure, hardware security module(s), and enterprise certificate management systems.  
  • Architects and maintains enterprise security systems to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of information assets for Data Lifecycle Management, including data creation, access, utilization, storage, transfer and encryption.
  • Works directly with IT, Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance team members to support audit and certification requirements from various regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborates with IT teams on infrastructure security, network device inventory, firewall best practices, web content filtering, authentication technology and data processing system integration.
  • Works within and directly impacts their function, occasionally interacts with other departments.

Qualifications

Education
  • Min/Preferred: Minimum
  • Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree            
  • Description: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or other related fields.
  • Preferred- Graduate Degree
  • Master’s Degree in computer science, information systems or other related fields.
Experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5
  • Preferred Years of Experience:          
  • Comments: 5 years of broad information security experience in infrastructure/network, on-premise applications, cloud based services and multiplatform environments; or equivalent work and training experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of expertise in architecture and design of security standards and procedures development, security education, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and compliance testing.
  • Recognized Information Security Certification(s) are required, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSK, CCSP, ITIL, AWS, AZURE, others.       
  • Knowledge of Compliance and Regulations (ISO, NIST, FFIEC, FDIC and PCI-DSS).  
  • Contribute to large projects and are a force of proposition on their scope of work towards improvements and achievement

Pay Range

USD $123,654.12 - USD $191,663.88 /Yr.
