The Branch Manager leads and manages all sales, member experience, service, and operational activities within the assigned branch. This role is pivotal in achieving profitable distribution of the Credit Union’s products and services. The Branch Manager II enhances member relations by delivering high-quality, personalized sales and creating memorable service experiences. As a leader, this position inspires and motivates the branch team, driving performance and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. This is a results-driven position responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of a retail branch’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Models leadership in coaching a high-performing team to develop exceptional knowledge of the Credit Union products and services to advise and advocate for members, understand their needs, and provide solutions.           
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of branch sales and service operations.            
  • Informs prospective and existing members of mortgage and consumer loan programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures; maintains high standard of member satisfaction and quality by ensuring timely and proactive member communication      
  • Analyzes branch performance, understands lending opportunities, and executes a business plan that empowers staff to achieve business objectives     
  • Proactively monitors and manages the branch’s sales pipeline on an ongoing daily basis, including mortgage and consumer loans. Reports trends, provides recommendations, and identifies areas for improvement to senior management.              
  • Proactively seeks new business relationships, including a network of business owners, real estate agents, finance professionals and community leaders.      
  • Develop strategies with Logix business partners and Marketing to help expand market share, deepen existing member relationships, and drive branch profitability including hosting approved seminars/webinars.       
  • Coaches, develops and builds a high-performing team to execute business strategies, achieve results, and drive profitable branch growth. This includes coaching staff to engage members to understand their needs and work proactively to build relationships and help members succeed financially          
  • Ensures a high level of member satisfaction through the delivery of excellent service and execution of the daily operations of the Credit Union's Member Experience protocols according to established standards.           
  • Partners with a collaborative mindset to meet member needs by introducing them to Logix business partners      
  • Applies financial acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet member needs and business objectives    
  • Exhibits effective leadership in optimizing operational excellence, including workforce and performance management, loan quality, cash management, branch audits, and branch security to enhance the member experience
  • Promotes the Credit Union’s brand identity and goodwill within the communities that it serves by networking with intent and building a strong presence in the community     
  • Supports the achievement of the retail branch office sales goals through the personal selling of all offered financial products, including new accounts, consumer and real estate loans, and identifies additional cross-sell opportunities
  • Adhere to credit union policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations.           
  • Stays informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market              
  • Must consistently report to work on time, as scheduled.

Qualifications

Education

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree            
  • Description: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 4

  • Minimum of 4 years of retail banking sales management experience.
  • May consider combined experience in financial services and retail banking sales management.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Thorough knowledge of consumer and mortgage lending, financial products, and services           
  • Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions  
  • Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports              
  • Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success      
  • Ability to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently, maintaining high productivity under pressure.           
  • Has the ability to multi-task working in multiple systems simultaneously.         
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention       
  • Superior customer service skills, excellent oral & written communication skills.              
  • Must obtain the following licenses within 6 months of entering the position: Notary License, Teller Training, FSR certification, New Accounts and Membership Officer Authority, Consumer Lending, Real Estate Lending Training, Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), and completion of Operational Excellence training    
  • Must be an actively registered Mortgage Loan Originator with the NMLS             
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience using the Symitar Data system, Meridian Link, and Encompass is considered a plus      
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays

Pay Range

USD $75,543.20 - USD $113,314.80 /Yr.
