Overview

The Manager, Enterprise Architecture manages the IT enterprise architecture team ensuring that business, application, and data perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities

Manages the enterprise architecture function, including coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical, and solution architectures.
 
Develops and implements IT architectural documents such as domain roadmaps, standards, system inventories, data flow diagrams, capability matrixes, and reference architecture documents for Enterprise Applications.
 
Determines and implements buy versus build strategies.
 
Works with system owners to assesses current applications/systems. Recommends how to best use/maximize applications/systems in alignment with organizational objectives.
 
Creates architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals (business outcome driven enterprise architecture).
 
Documents and maintains existing system architecture and technology portfolio. In concert with the Vendor Management team, manages contract expiration dates and ensures vendor SLAs are met.
 
Leads the governance process to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization's resources are used responsibly across the infrastructure landscape.
 
Analyzes technology, industry, and market trends and determines potential impact to enterprise.
 
Manage application lifecycle, including processes for adding and retiring systems, and processes for adding applications and systems.
 
Oversees enterprise architecture implementation and ongoing refinement activities.
 
Responsible for the development and execution of a communication plan for enterprise architecture standards.
 
Evaluates internal functions and IT processes and suggests improvements.
 
Makes management aware of organizational trends, issues, and feedback.
 
Suggests ideas to reduce costs and/or system duplication.
 
Participates in highly complex or impactful operational incidents to gain an understanding of the issues and consider them in the design going forward.
 
Provide leadership in creating, maintaining, and marketing the architectural vision and direction of IT under the guidance of the VP of Enterprise Architecture.

Pay Range

USD $132,516.15 - USD $212,025.85 /Yr.
