Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II, under general supervision, coordinates and directs team members to accomplish facilities projects; maintains, repairs, and modifies credit union facilities including the corporate headquarters building, branch locations, grounds, and parking lots.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors third party maintenance tasks (fire alarm testing, grease hood testing, infrared tests, storm line maintenance, etc.); ensures tests and maintenance are performed properly.
  • Partners with third party building supervisor on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) tasks.
  • Coordinates routine maintenance tasks:
  • Water filtration
  • Tool inventory check
  • Work room inventories and order placements
  • Reviews open work orders and ensures action upon each
  • Assists with conference room set up requests and ensures completion
  • Receives and completes assigned written facilities work orders and verbal instructions from supervisor within departmental guidelines.
  • Performs weekly interior Headquarters Building Safety and Maintenance Inspection and/or exterior Headquarters Building and Property Inspection per Facilities procedures and guidelines; creates work orders on online maintenance system to track reported safety and maintenance requirements and completes the work orders as per departmental procedures and guidelines. Communicates promptly to Facilities management any safety issues needing immediate action.
  • Performs office furniture repairs and interior paint touch-ups as needed. Informs Facilities management when larger areas require painting and obtains quotes from approved third party providers for such services.
  • Partners with Facilities Manager on space planning tasks.
  • Updates Facilities database systems:
  • Asset tracking
  • Supply stock and orders
  • Maintenance task tracking
  • Maintains positive relationships with all vendors to ensure prompt service.
  • Monitors third party furniture reconfigurations to ensure accurate and complete work.
  • Monitors exterior landscape conditions and works with third-party service providers to keep in prime condition.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to internal customers; follows up and keeps them informed of the service progress.
  • Work within their own team and mainly have a direct impact on themselves and direct process.
  • Assists with coordinating workstation relocations.
  • Assist with developing maintenance routines for maintaining exterior and interior furniture.
  • Asist with ensuring maintenance plans is being performed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: Vocational / Technical
  • Description: Must obtain plumbing certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • 2-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2
  • Preferred Years of Experience: 4
  • Comments: Must have 2-4 years of facilities and maintenance experience, including repair of office furniture in a corporate office environment.

  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • General knowledge of heating, ventilating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and modular furniture workstation systems.
  • General carpentry.
  • Ability to understand scaled construction and installation drawings
  • Use existing tools/processes to solve tasks/issues assigned to them.
  • Must complete Introduction to Construction Technology certification class within one year of hire date.
  • Must complete Carpentry Technology, Fundamentals of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Construction within one year of hire date.

Pay Range

USD $22.41 - USD $33.61 /Hr.
